Tennessee Wesleyan swept this week's Appalachian Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week awards with Casey Flenniken winning the men's honor and Lexi Stewart taking the women's, the league announced Monday.
Flenniken, a senior from Knoxville, Tenn., won the individual title at the Embry-Riddle (Fla.) Spring Invitational by eight shots in a field of 60 individual golfers. The Bulldogs placed fifth out of a 11 teams as there were eight teams at least receiving votes in top 25 poll last week competiting.

Stewart, a freshman from Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., placed third at the Montreat (N.C.) Spring Invite and was the highest finishing golfer from the NAIA. She helped the Lady Bulldogs to a first-place finish as well.
