The Bulldogs traveled to Lee University for the final game in the 3 game season series. The Flames move to 35-7 with the non-conference win, dropping the Bulldogs to 25-15. Lee also wins the season series with Tennessee Wesleyan, having now won 2-of-3 contests with the Bulldogs this year.

The scoring began in the bottom of the second inning, when the Flames went up 3-0. Tennessee Wesleyan came fighting back in the third inning, scoring five runs, three of them earned, off Lee starting pitcher, Jay Bolen. The Bulldogs scored a single unearned run in the fourth inning off reliever James Rechenbach to push the score to 6-3.

Roberto Reyes did his part to keep the Flames close, smashing a solo home run, his eighth of the season, to get the Flames one run closer in the fifth. The Bulldogs posted their final two runs in the top of the sixth inning, starting with a squeeze bunt by Michael Whiteford, scoring pinch runner, Tanner Quirk. Jonny Smith followed with an RBI single, scoring Ryan Santos.

The Flames' comeback officially got underway in the bottom of the sixth inning, as they scored three runs on a pair of RBI singles to bring the Flames within one at 8-7. Jonathan Clark started the bottom of the seventh with an infield single and a stolen base, then scored on an RBI single by Ramirez. Ramirez later scored what would prove to be the winning run, on a bases loaded walk by Max Harvell. Lee defeated the Bulldogs 9-8.

Cody Gaskill was the leader at the plate for the Bulldogs, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs and one run scored.

Josh McDaniel was credited with the loss for Tennessee Wesleyan, giving up two runs on two hits in the seventh inning. The lefty walked three and struck out three.

The Bulldogs return to AAC Action on Friday with a single 9 inning game at Bryan at 6:00 pm. Then they play a double header on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm.
