Rebecca Dow has signed to play Lacrosse with the Lady Bulldogs beginning in the fall of 2011. She lived in a small town called Hopkinton, New Hampshire where she played basketball, soccer, and snowboarded at the time. When she was in the 5th grade her mom asked if she wanted to play lacrosse. She had no idea what lacrosse was and actually showed up to practice with a boys stick unaware of the difference. Luckily since the team was new no one knew how to play either. Her friend joined it with her and they were pretty much a two man team throughout those years. In the 8th grade she was on the high school's JV team. Then freshman year she was on the varsity team, and she started over a junior. After her freshman year her family moved to Johns Creek, Georgia. The school she moved to had a better lacrosse team and program, which helped her grow more as a player. It is now her third year playing for Northview and she loves it. The team takes a trip to Florida every year to play teams that provide them with more competition then most teams they play. This year they came back with a 3-0 record. In 2009 she got the MVP offense award. She was introduced to Coach Kela when she played in the Georgia All-Star Classic, and her team won. Her high school Coach has seen her become a much better player this year and start to come out of her shell. This year her team played in the Dogwood Girls Lacrosse Classic and lost in the championship game. She was awarded with the tournament MVP. Her greatest achievement this year was meeting the goal her coach set for her which was to get 50 goals this season. She is the leading scorer on her team and as 87 goals with more games to play. Her team has made it to the playoffs this year and will play Mill Creek in the first round.
