When the 2011 basketball season begins, Lynli Miller will be on the court dancing for the Bulldogs. The Notre Dame senior signed a scholarship letter to continue her dance career at Tennessee Wesleyan College.
Lynli has been dancing since the age of four, beginning at Kathy's School of Dance and continuing on through high school at Notre Dame. In high school, she has been an active member of both the Charms and Emeralds dance teams under the direction of Mrs. Cleo Gravitt. Mrs. Gravitt was also one of Lynli's teacher at the dance studio.
Lynli is thrilled to be able to be the first dancer from Notre Dame to sign a dance scholarship. "Dance has always been a part of my life and I am so excited to be able to continue dancing in college," she said. She hopes that by her signing, other girls will follow her path and continue dancing during their college years.
"I cannot begin to express my excitement in sharing in this experience with Lynli. She has an amazing personality and loves the art of dance. She will bring so much to the team with her commitment and enthusiasm. I am extremely proud of her and will miss her greatly," said Mrs. Gravitt.
