Thursday evening the Bulldogs took the field against the Poynton Lacrosse Club. Poynton started strong scoring 3 of the first 4 goals. After trading goals back and forth the rest of the half Poynton was able to retain its 2 goal lead and go into half time up 7-5. The 3rd quarter was all TWC as the defense tightened up and the offense took over scoring four straight to give the Bulldogs their first lead of the game.
The score after 3 periods was 9-7, TWC. The fourth quarter was a battle but after being shut out in the 3rd quarter Poynton's offense got back on track. Finishing off a 3 goal run Poynton took the lead with 54 seconds left in the contest making the final score 10-9. Taylor Parker and Ryan Horvath both had 3 goals for the Bulldogs. Ryne Owen had a strong performance in goal making 12 saves. Stefan Hatfield, Mason Onstott, and Coach Parker all scored once. Coach Parker was named MVP of the match.
The Bulldogs will be playing their final match of the trip to England on Saturday as they look to end the trip on a high note against a U19 Wilmslow/Poynton mixed squad.
