Head Coach- 12th Season

Coach Mike Poe begins his 12th season as the Men's Basketball Coach at Tennessee Wesleyan College.  He has a career record of 192-154 at TWC.  Under his direction the Bulldogs have won 4 AAC Championships and made 4 appearances to the NAIA National Tournament. He was named Coach of the Year in the AAC conference in 2012 and 2013.  He enters this season with a career record at TWC of 192-154, making him the 2nd alltime winningest coach in TWC history.  Coach Poe is a 1980 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College. He spent 23 years in the High School ranks with a career record of 347-203 before returning to his alma mater. Coach Poe and his wife Sandy reside in Athens.

Assistant Coach- 12th Season

Coach Stone is entering his eleventh season as the men's basketball assistant coach at Tennessee Wesleyan College. As a 2000 graduate of TWC, Coach Stone played two years for the Bulldogs after transferring from Motlow State Community College.

After graduating from TWC, Coach Stone worked as an Admissions Counselor for three years. After pursuing another career, Coach Stone came back to TWC with his hard work ethics and winning attitude. He coached Men's and Women's Cross Country for 8 years in addition to being the assistant men's basketball coach. Coach Stone also serves as Coordinator of Athletic Event Management.  Coach Stone has a two children, London Stone and Ray Stone III.

Assistant Coach- 2nd Season

Coach Ferguson is entering his first season as the Men's Junior Varsity basketball head coach and Assistant Men’s Coach at Tennessee Wesleyan College. As a 2007 graduate of TWC, Coach Ferguson played four years for the Bulldogs after graduating high school from Portland High School in Portland, Tennessee.  During his four years with the Bulldogs he helped lead his team to two Conference titles and two trips to the NAIA National Tournament.


After graduating from TWC, Coach Ferguson worked in the sales field for seven years. After pursuing his sales career, Coach Ferguson came back to TWC to work as an Admission Counselor and to start his coaching career. Coach Ferguson met his wife, Dana while attending TWC and they reside in Athens with their two boys, Evan and Eli.
