Eric LaRue posted a 8-10 record in his first year at TWC improving from 3-10 the previous year. He had two players named to the AAC All Academic team. One player received the Capital One All American Academic Award. Three players from 2013 were named as AAC Players of the week. Previously he was the Assistant Coach at Austin Peay State University, where the team finished second in the Ohio Valley Conference. While at APSU he had one player named the OVC Player of the year and 3 other played named to the OVC team. He also had 3 players make the OVC All-Academic team. Before APSU, LaRue was the head coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College for 3 years. In 2011 KWC posted a 13-7 record which was tied for the most wins in school history. While at KWC he had 4 players on the All-GLVC All Conference team, and 12 players that were on the GLVC All-Academic team. Eric LaRue was also the Assistant Coach at Western Kentucky University for 2 years. He played his college tennis at Campbellsville College for 2 years, where he was All Conference and All District both years. He was a member of the 1990 and 1991 KIAC Championship team. He finished his last two years at Western Kentucky University. He participated in the Sun Belt tournament both years.
Coach LaRue lives in Athens, TN and has two daughters, Ericka and Natalie.
Tanner Stancil was a member of the 2010 Tennessee Wesleyan College that qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. He was a 2-time AAC All Conference team, his senior year he played mainly #1 and #2 singles and #1 doubles with Bartos Micher. He graduated from TWC in 2012 and currently is a Teaching Pro in Chattanooga.
