Quincy Scates collects 28 points for the Bulldogs

Bluefield College (8-4) traveled to Tennessee Wesleyan (10-2) on Thursday. The Bulldogs maintain the one game lead in the AAC over Reinhardt University. Tennessee Wesleyan easily found the net scoring 53 points in the first half, and then reaching the 100 point mark for the 4th time this season. The Bulldogs defeated the Rams 100-61.

The Lady Bulldogs played host to Bluefield College on Thursday night and let them walk away with a win. The Lady Bulldogs hit just seven of 32 3-point shots; converted only 14 of 30 free throws and had 24 turnovers allowing Bluefield to take the lead most of the game. Tennessee Wesleyan was able to make a run at the end of regulation to tie the game and head into overtime. Bluefield tied the game at the end of the first overtime to add another five minutes to the clock and was able to take the win, 71-67. 

Wesleyan trailed 24-20 at the intermission and held its only lead during regulation at 26-25 on a bucket by Cody Houck early in the second half. Bluefield went back in front, 40-34, and was up, 50-43, with less than 90 seconds to play. Taking advantage of missed free throws by the Lady Rams, Wesleyan went on a 9-2 run, fueled by 3-point baskets from Heather Gibson and Houck, to tie the game at 52.
