Tennessee Wesleyan College blanked the University of the Cumberlands on Saturday, 8-0, in game one then staged a dramatic seven-run rally in the final inning, highlighted by Brandi Lasley's two out grandslam home run, to claim an 8-6 win in the nightcap of Saturday's softball doubleheader.
In game one, Kelly Walker tossed a five-hitter, struck out four and did not walk a batter. Lindsey Arndts was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and RBI. Rachel Moretto had two hits with a double and two runs scored.
In game two, Walker went 3 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on six hits. Sarah Kilgore picked up the win in relief, giving up three runs on four hits with two strikeouts and a walk over 3 2/3 innings. Lasley and Bryson had home runs. Sunni Jackson collected three hits with a run scored and RBI; Lasley two hits, four RBIs, run scored; Lindsey two hits, run scored and Bryson a hit with two RBIs and two runs scored.
